Film By: Preston Kanak
Equipment: Canon 5D Mark II, 24-105mm 4.0 L
Special Notes: En Route to Lewiston, Idaho for Internship with Philip Bloom.
Description: While En Route to Lewiston, Idaho, I spent a week and a half camping along the way and filming various locations that I stopped at. This was one of the most beautiful road trips I have ever been on in my life and will most definitely be making the trip again.

This 18-day road trip took me through Montana, Idaho, British Columbia, and Alberta. I passed through Glacier National Park, Flathead National Forest, Lolo National Forest, Clearwater National Forest, Hell’s Canyon, Hayden Falls, Kootenai National Forest and Kianuko Provincial Park. I spent seven of these days in Lewiston, Idaho working with Philip Bloom, the master of DSLR filmmaking. I learned so much while working with Philip. I will be filming my way down to Hell’s Canyon and then on my way back as well.

  1. Beautiful scenery, love the music, but the water background sounds like a loop. The river needs to be represented CFS appropriate, maybe muted in the quieter realms (the trout) and more pronounced at the falls. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work! I’ll watch more…

Thanks for your input! Totally agree with the soundtrack. Will spend more time recording on-location audio!
